Malta Parkinson’s Makes More Waves As It Reaches More Members

Malta Parkinson’s gives hope to families in Malta and Gozo.

Malta Parkinson’s was founded in 2008 by Mrs Anne Downing, who ran as president of the organisation from 2008 until 2012.
Since 2008 the organisation has been through many changes and committee members, and made a huge difference to it’s community despite significant funding and resource restrictions.
The charity is led by President, Veronica Clark and helps to support individuals and families based in Malta and Gozo who are suffering from Parkinson’s Disease.

What’s in a name?

Malta Parkinson’s had been known as MPDA (Malta Parkinson’s Disease Association) since it had been founded in 2008, although feedback from members suggested that many felt sad about the inclusion of the word ‘disease’.

What were Malta Parkinson’s hopes for working with us?

Veronica, President of Malta Parkinson’s, had so much on both her personal and professional plate. A clinician, a mother, and the President of an organisation that makes a meaningful difference to families and individuals suffering with Parkinson’s.

Veronica hoped to inject some personality into the Association, and create a vibrant stand-out brand that would attract new members, financial contributions, and supporters. That’s why she decided to bring THAT Branding Creative Director, Paul Scurrah, and Ashleigh King, Digital Marketing Consultant and Copywriter, on board.

Services Provided

  • Exploration of the charity’s values to attract dream members and supporters and inform the messaging and content on the website.

What has been the impact of working with THAT Branding Company?

Malta Parkinson’s has a vibrant brand that will allow them to attract new members using automated electronic methods and payment systems rather than having to use paper forms.
This allows the charity to reach a new demographic, and support members with early-onset Parkinson’s.
